About Delta Dunia


PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk. or Delta Dunia (DOID.JK) is a publicly-listed holding company engaged in coal mining industry, and established under the law of the Republic of Indonesia. Its investment focus is with the primary operating subsidiary, PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama, a leading pure play mining contractor in Indonesia. Delta Dunia also owns two non-active license-holding entities, PT Banyubiru Sakti and PT Pulau Mutiara Persada.

As a publicly-listed company, 39% of Delta Dunia’s shares are owned by Northstar Tambang Persada, Ltd., which is a consortium of investors consisting of affiliates or nominated investment vehicles of TPG Capital (TPG), Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Pte. Ltd. (GIC), China Investment Corporation (CIC), and Northstar Equity Partners (Northstar). While the remaining 61% are held by public shareholders.



PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA) is the second largest coal mining contractor in Indonesia, providing mining services under long-term operating agreements with some of Indonesia’s largest coal producers such as PT Berau Coal, PT Adaro Indonesia, and PT Kideco Jaya Agung. As a mining contractor with sustainable low operating cost that offers competitive rates, BUMA currently holds close to 20% market share in Indonesia.

BUMA’s full range of coal mining services include mining infrastructure development and construction, land clearing, removal of top soil, drilling and blasting, overburden removal, coal mining, hauling, reclamation and rehabilitation of mine sites.

BUMA currently operates over 2,300 high quality equipment from Komatsu, Caterpillar, Scania, and Mercedes, and employs over 10,000 on its workforce, to work on 8 project sites.
