Hagianto Kumala - President Commissioner
Mr. Kumala has served as BUMA’s President Commissioner since 2010. He served as BUMA’s Vice President Commissioner from 2009 to 2010. Prior to assuming these positions, he served as the president director from 1999 to 2007 and as a commissioner from 2007 to 2009 of PT United Tractors Tbk.
He was the president commissioner of Berau Coal from 2001 to 2004 and was a commissioner of that company from 1998 to 2001.His former positions include being president commissioner and/or commissioner at PT Pamapersada Nusantara (“PAMA”) from 1997 to 2007, at PT Toyota Astra Motor from 2000 to 2002, at PT Komatsu Indonesia from 1998 to 2001, at PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk from 1998 to 2000 and at PT Astra Graphia Tbk. From 1999 to 2002. He also served as a director of PT Astra International Tbk from 1992 to 2001. He holds a Bachelor Degree in industrial engineering.

Thomas Husted - Commissioner
Mr. Husted has served as Delta Dunia’s Director since 2009 and as one of BUMA’s commissioner since 2010. In 2008, he founded Pacific Ocean Capital, an investment firm based in Singapore. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Husted was the Head of Corporate Finance at PT Bank Danamon Indonesia. He joined Citigroup in 1999 and held various positions within the Corporate and Investment Bank in Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor Degree from the University of Arizona, USA and a Masters Degree from Columbia University, USA.Sunata Tjiterosampurno - Commissioner
Mr. Tjiterosampurno has served as one of BUMA’s Commissioners since 2009. Mr. Tjiterosampurno has also served at Northstar Advisors Pte. Ltd. since 2006 where he is a Managing Director. He formerly served as a director in the investment banking division of PT Danareksa Sekuritas from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2004, he served as a senior consultant of Boston Consulting Group where he was involved in various strategy, acquisition and business improvement projects. He started his career as an equity analyst of PT Lippo Securities in 1995.
Mr. Tjiterosampurno holds a Bachelor Degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin, USA and a Masters Degree in finance from the London Business School, UK.
Akhil Puri - Commissioner
Mr. Puri has served as one of BUMA’s Commissioners since 2011. Mr. Puri has also been a member of TPG Capital’s Operating Team since 2008. Prior to joining TPG Capital, Mr. Puri held various leadership positions at General Motors both in Detroit, USA and in Shanghai, China from 2002 to 2008 where his last assignment was as Managing Director - Exports and Executive Director in Global Purchasing & Supply. From 1996 to 2000, he served at Unilever, India in various leadership roles both in Manufacturing and Project Management.
Mr. Puri has a Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, India and a Masters Degree in business administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA.
Ashish Jaiprakash Shastry - Commissioner
Mr. Shastry has served as one of BUMA’s Commissioners since 2011. Since 1998, Mr. Shastry has also served as a Managing Director and the Head of Southeast Asia at TPG Capital, based in Singapore. Since 2005, Mr. Shastry has spearheaded TPG Capital’s investment activities in Southeast Asia. Mr. Shastry also served as a non-executive director at PT Bank Tabugan Pensiunan Nasional Tbk., United Test and Assembly Center Ltd., Parkway Holdings Limited, Parkway Life Real Estate Investment Trust, Matrix Laboratories Limited and Asia Pacific Healthcare Group Pty Ltd.
Mr. Shastry has a Bachelor Degree in economics from Princeton University, USA.
